At a news conference this morning, the Ottawa Senators announced the signing of goaltender Craig Anderson to a four year extension worth $12.75 mil.
This is a deal that has been talked about for awhile now on this site. The day the Sens traded for Anderson I had been told that a deal was ready to go. Just a matter of sitting down and hammering out the details.
Good to see Murray get this deal done.
Craig Anderson has been terrific since arriving here in Ottawa and the team has been greatly improved with him between the pipes. Anderson has had nothing but good things to say about his teammates, the city and the organization since arriving in a deal that sent Brian Elliott to Colorado.
Anderson gives the club stability in goal moving forward and will allow prospect Robin Lehner more time to develop. A little bit surprised by the length of the deal though.
All that said, a solid signing by the Sens.
